Your Questions About Online Advertising

Donna asks…

What is the best way to learn about Online Advertising Operations like how to implement third-party tags?

What is the best way to learn about Online Advertising Operations like DART for Publishers and how to implement third-party advertising tags? This is for a career change. Thanks.
More specifically, I’m am looking to learn about DART for publishers and specific actions like implementing popular third-party tags from Atlas using DFP macros.

admin answers:

There are many ways to implement advertising, but I don’t fully understand your question.

You can create a site and place simple code like Adsense, or Chitika, or … Many others. You get a code and place it on your site. That’s all. That code identifies you. No technical knowledge is reqd.

You can also select Affiliate programs to promote items that you choose and like. Vendors give you a special link, and when you place that link in your website those vendors know that the visitor is coming from your site, and will give you a commission.

There’s a free ebook on that topic. It’s named ‘Affiliate Masters Course’. You can download it from

http://www.matrixlab-examples.com/affiliate-masters-course.html

Good luck!

Linda asks…

How do I figure what I should spend on advertising online?

Advertising on the internet is great, but sometimes expensive even with a budget. What percentage of your income should be set for online advertising?

admin answers:

Jaime
You really need to get traffic for website – so I’d say 5-10% or even more would be ok. If it brings in a good rate of investment (ROI) then more, for sure. With pay per click its very easy to work out what you’re paying and what its bringing in profits.

Afterall you don’t advertise just because you think you ought to, there’s got to be a payoff.

Donald asks…

Where can I find the names of companies spending on online advertising?

Is there any way I can get the names of companies spending on Google online advertising in California? Is there a search service that can give me this information?
I’m not looking for how much they are spending or anything like that, all I’m looking for is the names of the companies that are advertising.

admin answers:

I feel like the only place to get that kind of information would be Google, and I’m sure they would see absolutely no reason to give you a list of their customers.

Sandra asks…

Online advertising………………………………………………………………………………..?

Do you even look at those ridiculous online advertisements that block your webpage so you can’t read/look at it unless you x out of the advertisement?
Personally, I just immediately get annoyed, search for the “close” button and press it. Once it’s gone I realize I haven’t even seen the advertisement.

These things p*ss me off incredibly.

admin answers:

Same here but rest assured – if the ad is not effective – it will be gone next day

Sharon asks…

Charles asks…

How to make money online (surveys)?

I’ve seen those websites that offer to pay you for taking surveys. Are they scams?

Has anyone signed up for them? Do they work? How much money do you get? Are there hidden fees?
Plz help! :(
I’m confused…

admin answers:

Evil Cookie,

To be honest, if I was you I would not do surveys online as a way of making money. Although businesses are keen to learn more about how the customer buys, they have measures in place to ensure quality information is gathered.

They will not regard questions that are answered too quickly and put questions to throw you off to ensure they are getting good information. Consider how many surveys will you have to do to that they will pay you for, even make a small amount of money.

To answer your question, no they are not scams, alot of people sign up for them, you won’t get a decent amount of money for your time and there are no hidden fees. Its all legit, you just wont get the money for your time spent.

Daniel asks…

Does anyone know how to make money online from doing surveys?

I’ve heard of people making money online from surveys? is it really possible? does anyone have any good sites?

admin answers:

Hi there,

this is a really good, useful website, I have made some cash myself!

Check it out!

Been really useful for me!
:)

Helen asks…

How can I make money from online surveys and know that I wont get ripped off by the company for all my time?

Most online surveys wont you to pay fees monthly or something along these lines. Or you do an hour long survey and then you must purchase several things to earn the free money or laptop or whatever. Is there a place where you can earn real money or merchandise and it not cost you any fees and you do not have to make any purchases so that you can just make straight profit??

Thanks Trenton

admin answers:

No, there is nothing like that, they are all scams. Several posters have already posted examples of scams you can fall for.

Your Questions About Online Marketing Degree

Daniel asks…

Universities who offer online degrees in (Marketing and Operations Management) or Decision Sciences?

Hi I am looking for an accredited university that offers online degrees or diplomas in (Marketing and Operations Management) or Decision Sciences. Preferably the US, UK or Canada. I am quite eager to explore a career in these specific areas. Your best advise would be greatly appreciated.

admin answers:

Operation management degree programs are designed for students who want to work in industrial production or in more specialized careers in production and operation management, inventory management as well as those who want to run their own business. There are various universities offer this degree online like Walden University, Ashford University, Colorado Technical University, American Intercontinental University etc. From here http://www.thedegreeexperts.com/online-college.aspx you may get a list of well reputed and accredited online universities and colleges.

Thomas asks…

When looking to hire a marketing consultant would it matter to you if the degree was earned online?

If you were looking to hire a consultant would it matter to you if the consultants education was an online masters degree that was earned through a fully accredited online institution? I’m talking about a legitimate accreditation endorsed by the WASC.

admin answers:

As someone who makes a living as a small business marketing consultant, the people who hire me are more interested in experience. If you can show them references from other companies you have worked with, a portfolio of your work, have your degree AND show how you can make them more money by spending less, you will succeed. I have 25 years of small business sales, management and advertising experience, a 2 year degree from a private business college, and have as much work as I can handle, and I work from home. The key is going in and confidently being able to show them how you can make them more money while spending less.

Steven asks…

I am looking for an online school that offers a degree in web design and strategic marketing; suggestions?

I am looking for an online school that offers a degree in web design and strategic marketing. I am having trouble finding a degree that combine these 2 fields; any suggestions?

admin answers:

Its really difficult to get the combination of both the courses but I am sure individually both the courses would be of same effect as done in combination.http://www.thedegreeexperts.com/online-degree.aspx here is the list of courses that are offered online you may select any of the whichever suits you. All the courses listed here are offered by the top accredited colleges in U.S.

Nancy asks…

How much weight does an online college degree carry in the world today?

I am debating finishing my degree in Business and/or marketing online. Does anyone know (for sure) how much weight it carries in the world today? Thanks!

admin answers:

Depend if you study or just purchase the degree

Sandra asks…

A masters degree in marketing from an online university or a professional marketing certificate?

admin answers:

A masters degree is definitely more valuable. Certificates are good when a comparative degree is either unavailable or too expensive.

Consider costs, time and future opportunities to make a decision. Personally, I’d pick the degree.

***STAR IT EVEN IF YOU HATE IT. ;) THE MORE THE MERRIER, RIGHT?***

admin answers:

Dude, I love you for this. My mood has just jumped dramatically ((crazy friend hug)) ANOTHER CHARACTER INTERVIEW! =D

1.) My Name is Tenshi Seaton, but my author doesn’t like that name anymore. It might be Damon or something else. No, I won’t tell you Tenshi means. I’m male.

2.) Why do you care? I’m not “good”, I was born with a virtue, “bad”. Take it as whatever you think it implies.

3.) Like I said, my virtue is “bad”. I’m a contra-triplet. My brother is the other contra-triplet – “good”. And my last triplet is “neutral”.

4.) I was born in a country called Stafara. You’re human, so I’m guessing you don’t know that that’s not on Earth.

5.) My family: All of my siblings are part of an infinitive set. You’re human, so you wouldn’t know what that means. Anyway, first my mother gave birth to 1 boy, then twin girls, and lastly my trio. If she had another pregnancy, she’d be delivering some quadruplets. I have a dad. If you want me to tell you anything about my family, I can tell you our relationship is not close. Or, at least for me it isn’t.

6.) My friends are not many.

7.) I have never attended school until I came to Earth recently. I had teachers that came to me and my siblings before that. I don’t like school.

8.) I’m the type of person who does what they want. I don’t like being told what to do.

9.) My worst flaw: I’m stubborn.

10.) Worst enemy? Well I certainly don’t like my brother.

11.) Why? He has the virtue “good” and I’ve been suffering punishment since I was a small child for things I have no control over.

12.) My favorite object is a video game. This human bought it for me…

13.) The object has told me that I’m worth something, to someone, even if I give them trouble…

14.) My life does not fit as any genre. I’m not *exactly* a main character. My author just lets me know that I’m supposed to be tortured. Hehe.

15.) I don’t read much; therefore, I can’t have a favorite book.

16.) No favorite song.

17.) No favorite movie. Our world happens to be less addicted to all this crap you guys do.

18.) Favorite T.V. Show? None.

19.) Favorite Celebrity? Don’t care.

20.) I’m not a person who’s into jokes and pranks.

21.) What is your opinion on skinny jeans? Wear them…? I have a few pairs myself, but I don’t go crazy over them. I find your world obsesses over pants a lot…

22.) I like the color red. I may as well; it is the color of my eyes. My “good” brother’s eyes are green.

23.) Favorite food? I’m very sensitive to a lot of food. Anything with too much salt, sugar, spice, etc. Comes on too strong. I like bread and crackers. Oh that’s right; you don’t know how wizards have acute senses.

24.) Favorite school subject? I don’t like school. Do you understand? But if you count it – gym, just because it’s slightly easier as humans don’t excel that extra 5% we do.

25.) What is your dream job? I don’t need to work, human :P I get by on my own, most the time.

26.) Favorite animal? I’m keen on anything that doesn’t bark, chirp, neigh, or meow. Certain pitches drive me insane.

27.) Favorite Sport? I’m a runner. I like to jog in the morning.

28.) Favorite drink? Plain water. Why do you keep bringing up stuff that involves my senses?

29.) Favorite Interviewer (wink-wink. ;D..)? — I don’t like this interview so far… But just for the record, I have to say yes, since you’re the only person who’s ever interviewed me before.

30.) Any hobbies? — I play video games. They’re beast. But nothing else is really exciting.

31.) If you had a genie, and got 3 wishes, what would they be? — One wish, to be born human. I know, just shut up, I know. I’d rather be obscured to the entire magic world.

32.) Do you like mustard? — No, too spicy. Stop going to sense involved questions!!

33.) What are your feelings on politics? — If they’re not chopping heads off, I’m ok.

34.) What is your favorite plant? — A tree, of course.

35.) Favorite Smell? — No smell. I swear, ask another question like this and I’ll – (Author: OK! Next question!)

36.) Favorite store? — I’m not really a shopper.

37.) What type of clothes do you wear? T-shirt and jeans. Just keeping it simple. That’s how I roll.

38.) Do you like technology, or hate it? — Eh. It’s proved to be helpful in some ways. But if you have a damn good android assassinator coming to get you – well uh, let’s skip this question.

39.) If you could vacation anywhere in the world, or out of this world, where would you go? — Somewhere quiet.

40.) Have you ever eaten a leaf? If so, how did it taste? — Actually, I have. It tasted like it shouldn’t have been in my mouth. When your twin sisters are running you to the car as fast as they can to safety, in a forest, stuff like that happens.

41.) What is your favorite holiday? Coincidentally, I was born on a human holiday, Thanksgiving. I think… it could be my favorite.

42.) Who is your favorite person? — Bethany of New York. She has been nice to me at times when I have been so mean.

43.) What’s YOUR favorite brand of toilet paper? — I’ll keep that to myself, thank you.

44.) What does your bedroom look like? — It’s my entire home. A small room, with things everywhere. You can see the most of the floor except for where I a throw around the covers on the bed.

45.) Who is your best friend? — Bethany.

46.) Most embarrassing moment ever? — Bethany made me go on a roller coaster :P

47.) Do you like rollercoasters? — SHUT UP!!!! I wasn’t the one who was afraid, I didn’t know what it was! Do you ride on strange things you never heard of? That’s like jumping off a mountain in our world when you don’t know if you can fly. (No one I know of can fly here, so…)

48.) What scares you most? — Not a rollercoaster! I’m not afraid!

49.) What do YOU dream of? — A second chance

50.) Anything else you would like to add to this interview? —Will you go away already, already answered 49 of your other questions, having been forced by my author!

—Err, I, Silly Turtle, apologize for any and all of Tenshi’s foul use of language and his hostile behavior.

admin answers:

LOL Bill totally idolises Tom, you can tell he looks up to him a lot and is the ‘follower’ of the two even if it is in small ways. I think he looks up to him as his big brother and Tom likes being the ‘leader’ of the two… I can kinda imagine it >.<

I totally love you for posting all this stuff, I would have been too busy to find it otherwise! I'm swamped with work '-_-

@ASKALOT: What's that? You have no nuts? Aww, poor you… Maybe that's why you're so bitter that an androgynous guy is so much better looking than you?

Linda asks…

Do biographers make up quotes for their books?

I’ve been reading a lot of biographies lately and I’m noticing a trend. There are these times when the biographers describe exactly what the celebrity was wearing, and then, word for word, describe a conversation that took place. Now even if the biographer had the best source in the world – how could they know exactly how a conversation went? I mean when you interview someone, for every question you can’t say, “Tell me EXACTLY what you both said here.” So my question is, do biographers kind of take the context and make up quotes that are pretty close to it? or how else is this done? Cus damn.

admin answers:

I believe that is because biographers spend time sitting down with the person they are writing about and converse with them. That is generally how it is done. Pax- C

Nancy asks…

SOS! I’m crazy for a celebrity & I know it will never happen!?

I’m not your typical naive female. I KNOW that I will never meet this celebrity who has TONS of girls throwing themselves at him. I suppose I just want to know what to do about it?

I’ve seen him perform live, front row and as he ran off stage he touched my hand but that was in November. I’ve never wanted him so bad until the last couple of days. When he touched my hand I was like cool he touched my hand and shrugged while my best friend was screaming about being so close.

Now I can’t stop reading up about him, reading fan fictions which would never happen and writing my own. Every female has their fantasies that they think in their mind. I always have but never have I EVER wanted one to come true SO badly! Just to meet him and spend the day with him. I know even if that did happen, he’s probably nothing like I imagined and I would realize he’s not actually that great, but at the moment it’s all left to my mind. Every fact and interview I read I find more things in common, it’s so STUPID! AND PATHETIC! I feel like a right idiot! Please don’t tell me how stupid this is because believe me I KNOW!

When I read about him being with other girls, I swear my heart just aches. I want to meet him SO bad! I get so jealous. Even if I did meet him, I know it would just be a hi and a photograph possibly an autograph like he does for all the other fans.

I also know I’m not the only one to have this problem but this needs to stop right now. It’s getting out of hand. You know that feeling when you find out the guy you like doesn’t like you and you get really quiet and sad and don’t want to talk to anyone? I feel like that all the time now! Just over three days.. especially when I’ve read of his relationship with someone.. are they back together? I just go NOOOOOOOOOO!

I feel so guilty about it too. If he knew.. well it’s just stupid!

Another thing is I actually have a boyfriend, the most amazing guy ever but I’m starting to resent and get bored of him as I want this other celebrity. I’ve just got so used to him and every time I get another text, I feel disappointed.. it’s him again. I want this other guy.

Please help me sort my life out? I need to stop it! I think part of the problem is, he’s over in the UK in London atm and I live about an hour away.. I know all I want to do is go find him but I feel like time is running out as I sit home.. he’ll be gone in a few weeks and then I’ll feel like I missed my chance just as I do when he ends his twitter spree of talking to fans and hasn’t replied to mine.

- Don’t worry it’s not freaky marry me question.. just normal questions you’d ask anyone.

Help?
I HATE JUSTIN BIEBER ITS NOT HIM!

admin answers:

Are you talking about justin bieber….? Whoever it is, forget about them, even if you have to hold yourself back from the internet, or tear down his posters from your wall…
Heres a little test, if you cant go a day without checking his twitter account or reading up on him etc. Then you my dear are officially obsessed.

Seriously tho, he’s not worth your time, think about your boyfriend instead!

William asks…

Why PM went for Nuclear liability Bill that would clip wings of India’s nuclear technology?

Former chairman of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, A. Gopalakrishnan, has said the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Bill will lead to clipping the wings of India’s indigenous nuclear technology capabilities.

Mr. Gopalakrishnan, a stringent critic of the India-U.S. nuclear deal, told The Hindu that the new law would open the doors for the U.S. and French nuclear industry to “extensively sell their very costly and unproven light-water reactors (LWR) to India.”

He said that back in 2008, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had, without consulting the Indian Parliament or the public, promised the U.S. administration to purchase 10,000 MWe worth of LWRs from that country. This, Mr. Gopalakrishnan claimed, was under pressure from the U.S. administration for getting the `123’ agreement passed by the U.S. Congress.

Mr. Singh had also promised French President Nicholas Sarkozy to purchase French reactors, in return for his help to circumvent the Nuclear Suppliers Group’s conditions. Without a liability law that lets the reactor manufacturers off the hook in case of a nuclear accident, these companies would not dare to do business with India, he said.

Mr. Gopalakrishnan pointed out that India is a leading country in thorium breeder reactor technology and is poised to build thorium-based reactors routinely by 2040. The country had abundant resources of thorium raw material in the sands of Kerala’s shores.

He contended that the plan to import 40,000 MWe worth reactors during 2015-35 would shelve the thorium-based breeder reactor technology currently under development. “We have two generations of top-class nuclear scientists and engineers who have been painstakingly trained; we have the technological and industrial capability; and we have abundant raw materials,” he said. “All these will go to waste if we predominantly start relying on the import of the highly expensive U.S. and French reactors.”

Mr. Gopalakrishnan thinks that had Prime Minister Singh’s secret promise (in the form of a letter by India’s Foreign Secretary to the U.S. Under-Secretary of State) on September 10, 2008 been made public at the time, the Opposition parties and the public would not have perhaps let the India-U.S. nuclear deal through.

http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/article582271.ece

The PM and his govt had repeatedly proved that national interests are of least concern to them. The low compensation agreed against the Bhopal tragedy with US based Union Carbide by Rajiv in the past, is typical of the present sell out of our interests “to adhere to the Convention on Supplementary Compensation (CSC) for Nuclear Damage…” whereby the national law should legally channel the liability for all nuclear accidents in India absolutely to the `operator’ of the nuclear facility!!!

What are your views on this suicidal deals of the UPA govt?
Dear Pquaint, I wish to answer your points:

You say: 1. Before attempting to answer this question, I’d like to read the views of Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Dr. Srikumar Banerjee and Dr. R. K. Sinha also. Like “one swallow doesn’t make a summer”…this person’s views need to be validated by other nuclear scientists too.

We know that it requires lot of grit to speak hard truths against a serious wrong of a powerful Govt like UPA’s about whose chairperson, even Media thinks several times before a comment! If as much exposures as about Sonia family’s alleged deposits abroad had been made against any other leader in the country, the media would have made tons of comments by now!

But they keep studied silence when the Task Force under Gurumoorthy publishes details before the Press Reporters daring Govt to take action if they were proved wrong! So I would least expect most elite critics and bureaucrats or scientists to speak out against Govt in the sensitive issue!

2. PM being In charge of DAE
2. PM being In charge of DAE wouldn’t make any deal without consulting eminent scientists…and weighing all pros and cons!!!

In that case let him give his rejoinder to the elite scientist who spoke to the media. A person of Dr G’s stature would not talk serious things without solid facts, like politicians do. And we had seen how the MM govt had acted in the various issues! He would not hesitate to call even the infamous Spectrum deals as akin to ”food subsidy”!

3. By now I have pretty good idea of political leanings of members like yourself and a few other answerers who suspect EVERY move Congress leaders make…totally ignoring and/or overlooking the fact that India has made great progress in science and technology under the able leadership and policies of Congress party.

Yes I do not make any secret of my serious doubts about the Congress leaders just as people of your group do about the major opposition groups! But people know, learned sister, that any progress in any field
any field in the country is happening in spite of the bunglings of this govt! The talk of Second Green Revolution etc are still pathetically sneering at us!

4. To say that “The PM and his govt had repeatedly proved that national interests are of least concern to them” is SLANDEROUS!!!

Please note that I had not blindly commented in the forum about any contentious issue without good reasons. Mr Gopalakrishnan had not given just his sweet opinions without facts, but given plausible reasons and facts which you cannot call ‘’slanderous’’

Betty asks…

Can anyone put this into an outline for me?? 10 points!!?

Ida Tarbell helped transform journalism by introducing what is called today investigative journalism. Through her achievements she not only helped to expand the role of the newspaper in modern society and stimulate the Progressive reform movement, but she also became a role model for women wishing to become professional journalists.Born on the oil frontier of western Pennsylvania in 1857, Tarbell was among the first women to graduate from Allegheny College in 1880. After trying her hand at the more traditional women’s job of teaching, Tarbell began writing and editing a magazine for the Methodist Church. Then, after studying in France for a few years, she joined S. S. McClure’s new reform-minded magazine in 1894. Initially she wrote two popular biographical series–on Napoleon and Abraham Lincoln. In 1902, she embarked on her ground breaking study of John D. Rockefellers Standard Oil Company, or what was called the Standard Oil Trust. Her History of the Standard Oil Company, published in 1904, was a landmark work of expos journalism that became known as “muckraking.” Her exposure of Rockefeller’s unfair business methods outraged the public and led the government to prosecute the company for violations of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. As a result, after years of precedent-setting litigation, the Supreme Court upheld the break-up of Standard Oil.As the most famous woman journalist of her time, Tarbell founded the American Magazine in 1906. She authored biographies of several important businessmen and wrote a series of articles about an extremely controversial issue of her day, the tariff imposed on goods imported from foreign countries. Of this series President Woodrow Wilson commented, She has written more good sense, good plain common sense, about the tariff than any man I know of.During World War I she joined the efforts to improve the plight of working women. In 1922, The New York Times named her one of the “Twelve Greatest American Women.” It was journalism like hers that inspired Americans of the early twentieth century to seek reform in our government, in our economic structures, and in our urban areas. Along with other muckrakers like Lincoln Steffens, Ray Stannard Baker, and Upton Sinclair, Tarbell ushered in reform journalism. Ever since, newspapers have played a leading role as the watchdogs and consciences of our political, economic, and social lives.Although Tarbell was not, herself an advocate of womens issues or womens rights, as the most prominent woman active in the muckraking movement and one of the most respected business historians of her generation, Tarbell succeeded in a “male” world the world of journalism, business analysis, and world affairs, thus helping to open the door to other women seeking careers in journalism and, later, in broadcasting.By the early 1900s, John D. Rockefeller Sr. had finished building his oil empire. For over 30 years, he had applied his uncanny shrewdness, thorough intelligence, and patient vision to the creation of an industrial organization without parallel in the world. The new century found him facing his most formidable rival ever–not another businessman, but a 45-year-old woman determined to prove that Standard Oil had never played fair. The result, Ida Tarbell’s magazine series “The History of the Standard Oil Company,” would not only change the history of journalism, but also the fate of Rockefeller’s empire, shaken by the powerful pen of its most implacable observer.Born in a log home in Hatch Hollow, northwestern Pennsylvania, on November 5, 1857, Ida Minerva Tarbell grew up amid the derricks of the Oil Region. Her father, Frank Tarbell, built wooden oil storage tanks and later became an oil producer and refiner. “Things were going well in father’s business,” she would write years later. “There was ease such as we had never known; luxuries we had never heard of… Then suddenly [our] gay, prosperous town received a blow between the eyes.” The 1872 South Improvement scheme, a hidden agreement between the railroads and refiners led by John D. Rockefeller, hit the Pennsylvania Oil Region like a tidal wave. It hit the Tarbells too, leaving behind painful memories that would be rekindled thirty years later. “Out of the alarm and bitterness and confusion, I gathered from my father’s talk a conviction to which I still hold — that what had been undertaken was wrong.”After graduating from Allegheny College, the sole woman in the class of 1880, Tarbell moved to Ohio to teach science, but resigned after two years. She would find her true calling just months later back in Pennsylvania, when she met the editor of a small magazine, “The Chautauquan,” published in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Tarbell’s inquisitive mind and her determination to have a career pushed her to become intensely invested in her writing and research projects. At 34, fascinated by the story of Madame Roland, the leader of an influential salon during the French Revolution, she moved to Pari

Maria asks…

A question for the Cena haters: don’t you see how vital he is to the future of the company (more inside +BQ)?

Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions, but i wanted to make a case here on something. There are obviously a lot of folks out there who do not like Cena, but i wanted to point something out quickly that i hope Cena haters can take in mind, and that is the future of the WWE.

The whole PG era, Cena, it all is trying to focus on the younger generation, the “kids” and whatnot. A lot of people complain about this, but what i think these people are overlooking is the need to keep the WWE going. People my age, we’re only here for so long. What happens when we’re gone? The WWE could cease to exist. It’s vital to continue to maintain an audience, so that the company can survive, and the best way of doing this is by focusing on the younger generation. We can’t expect the WWE to tailor to our wants and needs, and i don’t necessarily think it’s tailoring to the kids’ wants and needs either: it’s a business decision that has nothing to do with making money, in my opinion at least, but more so so the WWE can continue to live on long after the older generation has passed.

related BQ: We could have the WWE go back to being TV-14, but don’t you think parents would keep their kids from watching it? The Attitude era was great, memorable; those who witnessed it will never forget it. But i think people need to realize that the WWE will never go back to TV-14. It will lose viewership and will receive even more scrutiny than it already does. i think one of the largest reasons why the WWE went PG had nothing to do with “Mattel,” but because if they didn’t lighten things up, they may have been threatened to have been removed from television, as there were (and are) children watching the WWE. A parent doesn’t want their 5 year old hearing curse words, seeing wrestlers bleeding profusely, seeing Divas in bra and panties matches; it has so much more to do with the future of the WWE.

i think that’s why Cena is the way he is, why the WWE is PG. Forget about Cena’s move set, his gimmick, whatever else people complain about, and forget about WWE being rated PG. If the WWE only concentrates on us, versus also the children, the WWE will come to an end. Keeping the younger kids into it will lead to even further, eventual viewers in their kids, and so on and so forth, therefore keeping the WWE alive.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Am i just talking nonsense here, or can Cena haters (and PG haters) see where i’m coming from?

admin answers:

That is a very good observation, and I agree. Despite people knowing that WWE is just a business and its like any other action TV shows, people still treat it like its real wrestling and if they are not given what they want they felt betrayed or disappointed. Especially when it comes to John Cena. John Cena is WWE biggest money drawer, 2nd is Randy Orton.

WWE is just business and they don’t want to get a bad media attention for being violence, and they don’t want to get blamed for children fighting, whether its the WWE’s fault or not.

Plus This is a good strategy from Vince. In 5 years or so these kids (cena fans) will grow up and they will realize the kid-ish ness of the WWE and start to make biased comments like WWE was much better when Cena was around which we know isn’t really. So WWE will have to revert back to the attitude era or something similar.

Anyways good observation. If people really wants good wrestling than there are many other promotions out there that delivers better wrestling matches and blood.

Chris asks…

How accurate is the answer pasted below regarding the government bail out?

I had asked a question about the government bail out and this guys response is how I feel but I’m not sure how accurate it is. Please over look his typos as we all make mistakes when we are typing and trying to answer in a hurry.

His response:

They need tobail out wallstreet because of the fiat money system. Our politicians hate having to raise taxes, it is very unpopular and leads to being tossed out of office. Instead the politicians love to spend borrowed money, and then pay it back with interest so it appears to the people as if taxes remain the same, and there is only the hidden tax of inflation. When governments get to the point where they have to pay back more in interest then they raise in revenue, then you get hyperinflationary depressions such as the one we are going through now. If we allow the big companies to fail, there will be about 12 months of hardship while smaller fiscal institutions step up to the plate and take over the business the failed banks left in their passing. Eventually things would be restored to normal, and life would go on with new names in the world of domestic banking.

The bailout will prolong our recession and eventually it will lead to an even bigger nastier crash, and the big banks will consolidate and form mega huge bank conglomerates and own and dominate the public until there is revolt and possible civil war.

The bail out benefits the average tax payer by making you take on the toxic wate derivatie garbae that the free market has finally priced to their actual value of zip. Once we the tax payer own these worthless assets we will also take on the debt that these worthless assets have incurred. We will then spend the rest of our lives, and the lives of our future generations paying off the unpayable debt, a debt that is greater then all the actual assets of the entire world.

End of his response.

I understand that the bail out is to try and save the economy but isn’t it just a little bandaid on a huge gushing wound?

I would like to know your opinions on whats right and whats wrong with the statement above. Thanks

admin answers:

I sped read it
.
And the parts I caught as important are the ones of prolonging the recession and a really bad crash of the economy
.
The bail out is only a band aid not a fix the problem still exist
Short term Low interest home mortgages causing more lay offs
in industries that causes a domino effect
.
The recession has been in full force for the last 8 months
Why they don’t admit it you got me
.
And the crash will and is going to happen
The instability of the United States is now being seen by the rest of the world when
.
The Government steps in to bail out failing companies I don’t care what their category is they are going broke
.
And the only thing that the public has to worry about is what will happen when it does happen in full force
.
The meaning of the national debt will come to
Light what it really means and the effects that will follow it

Your Questions About Web Traffic Monitor

Donna asks…

What can I do to monitor and control internet traffic on a 2wire router?

my kids access the web through the 2wire. I want to be able to see when they are on and control when they can use it and when they can’t. Similar to parental controls for a desktop, but I need to be able to apply it to the wireless router.

admin answers:

Go to gateway.2wire.net and there is a local area network tab. Click it. It shows all devices ever connected to your router, and also the devices connected. You can edit the settings to make it where their connection is disabled I think. But you have to bee on that lan. At home.

Jenny asks…

Should Companies Monitor Employees’ E-Mail and Internet Traffic?

Most companies monitor (after transmission) or intercept (during transmission) employees’ e-mail messages. Employers can use software to automatically find personal or offensive e-mail messages that have been sent or received, and intercept and filter messages while they are being sent or received. Companies also monitor other Internet traffic such as Web sites visited by employees and how much time employees spend sending instant messages and visiting chat rooms. Companies perform this monitoring to improve productivity, increase security, reduce misconduct, and control liability risks. Few laws regulate employee monitoring, and courts have given employers a great deal of leeway in watching work on company-owned computers. In one case, an employee’s termination for using her office e-mail system to complain about her boss was upheld, even though the company allowed the company allowed e-mail for personal communications. The court decreed that the employee’s messages were inappropriate for workplace communications. Many employees believe that excessive monitoring of software violates their privacy rights. State laws usually favor the privacy of the employee, while federal laws tend to favor the employer’s right to perform such monitoring. To reduce employee anxiety about monitoring and to follow some state laws, companies publish written policies called acceptable use policies (AUP). AUPs should provide clear descriptions of acceptable and unacceptable behavior, respect employee needs and time, and establish a balance between security and privacy. Often, the consequence for violating an AUP is that the violator is fired. Should companies monitor or intercept employees’ Internet communications? How can a company balance workplace security and productivity with employee privacy?

admin answers:

There is no such thing as workplace privacy; if you don’t want your employer to know, don’t e-mail or talk about it at work.

It is 100% legal for an employer to monitor his employees activities whenever they are on company time and/or use company equipment as using them for frivolous personal use not only costs the company money, but could damage their reputation if an employee sends and obsence e-mail from a work address.

Most employers allow intermittent personal use of email and internet purposes like to email a family member or friend if you need to work late or if where to meet for lunch or pay a bill or two online, but it is against company policy to abuse those privledges and waste company time.

In a case I know of personally, the employer lost the account with a customer because their employer had gone into internet chat rooms on company time and when he thought he was sending an illicit photo of himself to people in the chat room, he actually sent it to everyone in his address book.

Sharon asks…

Does the government monitor the traffic and ISP’s to certain sites?

I’m curious about ones like Stormfront (white pride) or other sites. (I need to write a research paper but don’t want to end up on some watch list) Is it best to use a web proxy when checking these sites out? Are they more or less spying on us?

admin answers:

Proxies are a safe bet if you don’t feel sucure but most luckily there is so many people visiting this site they couldn’t possibly view everybody

Steven asks…

Stop ISP’s snooping on your web activity?

I read today that there are now 6 ISP’s in the UK who have agreed to “closely monitor the web traffic of its customers” and send warning letters out to those who infringe copyright. This seems to me a gross invasion of privacy, and another reason why I don’t want to live in the UK anymore!

I am not a large downloader, do not use P2P, and rarely use bit torrent. However, I do sometimes download tv shows from the States, not available in the UK, using rapidshare. Would this be detected?

Is it possible to mask your online acivity from your ISP, perhaps using a proxy, or Peer guardian etc?
Here is more information concerning the monitoring and the ISP’s involved.

Unfortunately the whole world is turning into a planet of police states….slowly but surely……

So there’d be no safe place to go. Restrictions on every aspect of life are occurring everywhere.)

If you’re using something like BitTorrent you could turn encryption on so you’re ISP won’t know what you’re actually downloding

Daniel asks…

What “title” would you give my job?

I work for an insurance company. Here are some of the things I do:
-Generate weekly newsletter and email to our subscriber base
-Scan the internet looking for mentions of our company and our competitors
-Oversee our company web site and make changes as needed (not an IT person, though – no formal training)
-Monitor web traffic to our site
-Write emails, create marketing pieces (mostly text) as directed by our company president and my supervisor
-Come up with ideas for new ways to sell our insurance products
-Attend trade shows and mingle with people
-A lot of work directly from the company president, such as correspondance to emails he gets.

They never really gave me a title for this job. It started as CSR since I was taking calls initially, but havent for about 18 months now. I want to apply for other jobs but am not sure what to put as job title, as CSR is misleading.

Is this a marketing director? Marketing & Communications director? Internet Marketing Specialist? What else?

admin answers:

Marketing Assistant.

I worked as a marketing manager for an insurance company for 5 years and those under me did largely what you do (albeit with varying tasks and degrees) and they were marketing assistants.

I don’t necessarily agree with you being labeled and admin assistant since you are doing market analysis work primarily.

I would shy away from putting director on your resume since that would almost assuredly result in job inquiries you are not likely qualified for (director titles are usually reserved for large corps where the director has teams of individuals underneath them).

Your Questions About Search Engine Optimization Companies

John asks…

Can any one please suggest me good Search Engine optimization company in Surat?

Can any one please suggest me good Search Engine optimization company in Surat?

admin answers:

If you are looking for cheap but excellent SEO Services in Surat
http://www.inseoservices.com is the right choice for you.
It provides better services but the charges are within your budget.

Maria asks…

How to find a good SEO (search engine optimization) company?

We are starting to get into net (pod)casting and web-based business enterprises and need to promote our websites, netcasts, blogs, etc.. We are researching and discovering lots of good ways to self-promote, but we also want to enlist the help of a good SEO company with a proven track record to augment our own efforts. Given that there are hundreds of companies on the net clamoring for our business, how do we find one that will get the job done for us? Is there a forum of some kind where we can find some relevant, informed input on this?

admin answers:

How to find a good SEO Company? The plain fact is that there are very few excellent SEO companies but there are tens of thousands of SEO companies that advertise their poor quality services. It is an unregulated and relatively new industry in considerable demand, so this is not so surprising.

Good SEO companies are in great demand and the first thing NOT to do is use one that offers their services on Yahoo answers! No professional SEO that is any good has the time to solicit clients through such a medium or even needs to do so.

Here is the procedure I recommend.

Start by looking here http://www.seoconsultants.com/ which is about the nearest you can get to peer reviewed SEO consultants directory. Draw up a list of (say 10) companies whose web presence and spectrum of services meet with your approval.

Then make a simple initial approach to these companies and reduce the 10 to a short list of 3 or 4 based on the quality of their response (as you see it) and their understanding of your requirements.

Now interview the companies on your shortlist and include the following questions and requests:

1. Ask for 5+ references and current clients and make sure you follow them all up taking notes along the way.

2. What type of reporting will they provide?

3. Do they offer Return On Investment (ROI) analysis?

4. Can they assure you that the optimization strategies and methods used will be ethical and hence guarantee no penalties for your website?

5. Do they place a link on their clients sites to their site? If they do you can reject them right away.

6. Ask to see a sample contract. Check that it says ‘what is’ and ‘what isn’t’ required on the clients part and also details what they say they will do.

7. How many hours will they put into working on your site?

8. Make sure you will not be ‘ransomed’ if you decide not to use them any more at some stage.

9. Do they outsource any of the work? If they do you can reject them right away.

10. What results can you expect and over what time scales?

Once you have the answers to these questions for the companies on your short list you will find making a correct choice quite straightforward.

One last thing. The best SEOs in the world work for themselves because they make more money that way and those that choose to have clients do not come cheap so if you want a good ROI don’t look for a bargin.

Good luck!

Donald asks…

What should I look for when selecting an SEO (search engine optimization) company for my website development?

Want to use part of my advertising budget to improve traffic and ranking of my website to grow my business, but there are a lot of makeshift companies out there and no standardization. I don’t want to waste my money!! Looking for recommendations….

admin answers:

Ok, first of all, you need to check our the SEO firm’s experience and ask for client testimonials (as well sample keyword ranking reports) proofing their work and results.

Is the SEO firm’s Web site already ranked for various keyword terms in the major search engines? What competitive search terms is their site ranking for?

Ask them whether they will perform natural or paid-per-click services, or a combination of both for your Web site.

Ask them what their exact procedure and process is for every SEO customer. Do they believe in only performing ethical and fair search engine practices, or will they cloak your site, insert hidden text or other practices considered illegal or unethical in the eyes of search engines. You wouldn’t want your Web site banned in the search engines.

Get pricing information about the SEO program they will be performing for you…do they bill hourly, monthly, annually? Get competitors pricing as well, to determine if the SEO firm you are considering is priced too high or too low below its competitors.

Ask how many Web pages they will handle for you, how many keyword terms they will target for you, how much (if any) link popularity they will do, as well what other SEO services come with your SEO program.

How will you know what keywords you are currently ranking for? What kind of analytics will they be using on your site? How will they track Web site visitors?

What professional business and/or SEO organizations do they belong to? Does anybody on their staff have an SEO certification? What types of college degrees do the staff have at the SEO firm? How long has the SEO firm been in business? How many clients do they have? These questions and others will help you determine which SEO firm to hire to optimize your company’s site.

Your Questions About Wealth Creation

Donald asks…

What are the FAQ on wealth creation?

Wealth creation can also be referred to as financial freedom, financial independence, prosperity

admin answers:

There really is no way for an easy answer you have to figure what your financial questions are and what are the answers you need and are seeking. Most important answer though for anyone and everyone would to start savings accounts, emergency accounts, retirement accounts, remember that you never should stop learning learning about everything and anything may one day help you move up in the working world. Wealth creation is learning to live with what you got, not wanting more but being happy with what you have, giving to others that need it, no being selfish, learning to respect others, being honest may also help.

Mary asks…

Discuss the trade-off between wealth creation and social harm? Which is more important?

admin answers:

To whom?

The rich can live well anywhere. They can afford gated communities, hiring private armies, etc. They don’t care about the general welfare and hence social harm.

For the rest of the population, of what use is any wealth if the social fabric is so strained that you can’t feel safe?

Of course the difference is never just one decision, and the costs and benefits associated with any one decision may well seem so small as to be not worth worrying about.

Yet it is clear that the push to wealth creation has pushed the human population to beyond the carrying capacity of the Earth:

which means that a day of reckoning will be coming.

Some have argued that the original mistake was taking up agriculture.

Lizzie asks…

What do you think will happen to wealth and job creation?

33 MIllion Americans do NOT pay taxes. Obama wants to increase that number to 66 million. Leaving the tax bill to the rest increasing the bill to higher tax payers to 140 billion dollars. The biggest Wealth redistribution in the History of America. You cannot make the Poor rich by making the Rich POOR.

admin answers:

“What do you think will happen to wealth and job creation?”

What job creation? There won’t be any. And you can thank NObama for that.

Daniel asks…

Is it fair to say Jesus was/is pro wealth creation?

spiritual wealth that is …

“For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.” Mt. 25:29.

admin answers:

Yes. As the Parable of the Talents indicates, we are expected to invest what we have, whether material wealth or understanding of God’s plan, and develop new wealth and understanding.

For those who said that Jesus was against material wealth, he merely said it could be a distraction and a danger, but he told a number of parables likening the pursuit of God with seeking material gain–the Pearl of Great Price, the Treasure Buried in the Field, the Talents. It is only when a person becomes narrowly focused on money for its own sake that he begins to act foolishly, e.g., in building new barns for possessions that will never be used, rather than taking on the greater challenge of living the gospel.

As your quote shows, Jesus saw knowledge of and faith in the gospel, along with the attitudes and skills of living as a child of God, to be things that accumulate as they are sought and applied. If we do nothing with the gift of knowledge and love that comes from God, we lose it.

Cheers,
Bruce

Lisa asks…

Why do Conservatives confuse distributing the ‘means of wealth creation’ with distributing ‘wealth’?

Every American has the potential to contribute enormously to the development and sustainability of the U.S. But, factors such as education & healthcare, play a massive role in how well they are able to do so. It only takes a fraction of a the U.S. GDP (less than it spends annually on war) to provide 2 things that will ensure that every citizen later has the knowledge and physical strength necessary to do so.

You are giving people a fishing lesson with these 2 things, you are not giving your fish

admin answers:

Exactly, a person who cannot get healthcare is a person who cannot work. A person who does not get a good primary education, and subsidized college education, is a person who is one less doctor, lawyer, and small business owner
