Ken asks…
Are you a netwoker in the mlm industry?
I want to know what your best lead source is? On line or in the paper thanks. Please no payitforward4profit it is not free like they advertise. Thanks T.

admin answers:
The cost of lead sourcing online or on paper is about the same. You will find more with “online” lead sourcing, but less qualified opportunity seekers (or buyers.) 89% of the people who seek home business opportunities are inexperienced enterpeneurs. This group of people tend to give up easily. The people who respond to written (or paper) business opportuities are 21% more likely to be coach-able. You decide.

Helen asks…
Why not crack down on insurance companies first instead of this mandatory health insurance?
That seems to be where the source of the problem lies anyways.
By the way, mandatory health insurance just means more money for insurance companies, not helping American citizens. That would be unfair if I have to buy health insurance. That’s not free health care as advertised. In Europe and Canada, the entire nation’s tax payers share the burden of health insurance so that every single person can receive free health care, even those who can’t afford, even foreign travelers temporarily visiting. That’s how it should be. That’s what it means to be a community. Not being fined and forced to buy a health insurance package.

I agree with you But in this country money is number one and insurance companies have lots of it and want more they got a slap in the face that’s about all. I want free health care I don’t want to have to worry if I have enough money to take my kids to the doctor and pay my bills. I am happy that we have something that helps us it is a start

Linda asks…
Is it illegal in Australia to put posters or flyers stuck to telegraph poles?
I own a local business and want to use some free advertising ideas as I do not have much money. My question is this; Is it illegal to put posters or flyers stuck to telegraph poles or similar, and if yes or no, if you can, provide a) Reasons why, or b) Provide Sources(eg. Government Bill, etc.). Just to let you know I prefer the B option. The one with the most detail will get the 10pts(detail meaning sources or reasons, though i don’t want to have to read through pages of info)
All Reasonable answers, but i need sources so i know it totally isn’t or totally is illegal.

admin answers:
NO it is not

Steven asks…
Does advertising on YouTube work for you? Are there better ways to advertise?
I currently advertise my Global Domains (GDI) affiliate program with YouTube as my main source. I also use 3 software programs that I give away free to my downline including software to increase your youtube video views to whatever you want, advertise to thousands of cell phones by sending a small text message to their phone everyday for free, and an auto poster that posts a text ad you create to over 64,000 newsgroups automatically everyday with the click of a button. I have also used Google AdWords, and I give away $50 in free adwords dollars to my downline when they join as well. Even though I use YouTube to advertise more than anything, and my software works incredibly for me and my downline, I’m wondering if anyone else has any advertising ideas? Please advise.

admin answers:
Yes, it does, just like articles, social bookmarking and adwords.

Charles asks…
Would it be against Free Speech to Require Truth in Journalism similar to Truth in Advertising?
From what I’ve seen, “The News” has become what used to be called an “Editorial Comment”.
I’m older, so I remember Watergate. How journalists investigated the issue, almost like the police…witness’, evidence, multiple sources to verify information, etc. And they broke the story to the nation when they were sure of what actually happened.
I don’t want to control what the Media Says. I just want them to be required to speak in truths. I always thought they were supposed to be the watchdogs, the protectors of truth and virtue, not the perpetrators of misleading Idealisms and Personal Agendas.
Chris Matthews, Sean Hannity, Mr. O’Reilly and Mr. Shultz’s programs should be REQUIRED by the FCC to have at the Top and Bottom in Big Scrolling Red Flashing Letters the Words “EDITORIAL COMMENTS AND OPINION” followed by “NOT THE NEWS”.
And ABC, CBS, NBC Nightly News, plus your local Station Newscasts should be held to a standard like the Watergate ERA, where all stories are factual, not speculative. When did the evening news get to the point that they “FORCAST” the winners of an election with only 20% of the vote in? This INFLUENCES Voters and their job is NOT to influence and outcome, but rather to REPORT the outcome.
It’s ridiculous. And Shep Smith? Fair and Balanced? He purports to have a “NEWS” Program, not an Opinion Show, but the other day I was watching, and at least 4 times, after telling us the lead in on a story, he rolled his eyes and said “Reaaaallly?” in a cynical way. You can’t get anymore “Editorial” than that.
Why is it and advertisement for Breakfast Cereal can not claim it Cures Cancer, but “The News” can lie and mislead people about Unemployment Rates, or 2 different stations can give 2 completely different numbers on the Public Debt? But that’s okay?
Okay Rant over. I know that no one will answer, but it felt good to get that all out.
Truth is Truth. 1+1=2 is a truth. If someone tells you it’s 3, then shouldn’t “The News” point out that they are wrong and trying to pull one over on you?
If a politician says that The Rich are paying less in taxes than The Poor, shouldn’t the Press have to verify it as fact? Do some math? and report the TRUTH? Whatever that truth is? (this is not the post to argue that point, though)
True, Nancy P, but since when is doing Right, easy? They used to “police” themselves. They were taught the rules in School, now they are taught to use the Press as a tool to further agendas (once again, both sides) FCC polices Advertisers so that they have to present Facts about their products, why should telling about a Real Event be any different, unless you announce that it is your personal opinion and not factual?
You got that right, Lag, but if we had Truth in News, then perhaps they would point out the UN-Truths of Government, like the old days, and maybe spur on a bit more honesty in our politicians?
I think this is the first time I have ever had BI-Partisan Support on a Y!A Question. I really do thank those of you who have answered.
Whiskey is a pretty good source in my opinion, hehe. But, Truth is something backed in fact. Provable.
If an aspirin company says it cures a headache faster than any other tablet, it must prove that assertion, per FCC Regulations.
Why can’t we do the same for any other Non-Fictional Claims? If, for example, Mr. Matthews says that the Republicans are the Party of NO, and have not put forth any plans to improve the economy or decrease unemployment, yet, it is shown that 18 Bills have been passed by the House, but yet to be acted on either way by the Senate, he is obviously not stating fact. It’s not even a misinterpretation of fact. It is blatant misleading of the uninformed and should not be allowed over public air waves. We have anti-hate laws, does this not incite hate through falsehoods?
Sorry, I’m passionate about this and it’s BOTH Sides. That was just one example.

admin answers:
Apparently truth in government is out of the question so I don’t hold much hope for truth in journalism. A fish rots from the head down.
Edit; “We live in a time of very unpleasant realities. Truth has become such a valuable commodity that the government of the United States and the media have started (to put it politely) economizing it. Documented cases of media deception over the years have made it clear that the media lies to the public on important issues. As Richard Salent, Former President of CBS News has stated, media’s job is to feed the public what media thinks the public ought to know. Clearly, anything that happens that the media doesn’t think the public needs to know about will simply not be reported.”

Where can I advertise a small business for free?
How can a smaller business reach its target market for little or no cost? Whether a business offers a product or service, the advertising challenge is the same: reaching qualified customers. Free classified ad websites are excellent sources of qualified leads but which ones? I am aware of craigslist, backpage, bjayslist, and ebay classifieds, but I am having no luck with ebay classifieds.. Any advise would be helpful.

Daniel asks…
Is it legal to make money by selling free software or make money from free source code?
If you sell free software for money is it legal? (Assuming somebody would actually pay money for buying free software).
Also i was wondering if you make tweaks to a free code (let’s say it’s a free mmorpg) and use it on your website and make money from member registration or advertises? Is it legal?
Thanks.
admin answers:
First of all, you need to read the license associated with the software. It should lay out the bounds of what you can do.
In general, you cannot sell the software. You can however sell associated services, such as burning it to CD for distribution, consulting on its use, setting up a web site using the product, etc.
In your example, if you are hosting the application, then you are selling the hosting service, not the software itself.
